David Cudworth is Programme Director at Amey Consulting and a Pavement Engineer with more than thirty-five years of experience in industry in both the UK and overseas. He has worked on projects in over 20 countries for various clients including asset owners, users, and international development organisations. He is currently a member of Amey Consulting’s Technical Leadership Team which provides technical leadership for an organisation that delivers services across the highway, aviation, and asset management sectors. 

Professor Mujib Rahman is Head of Department of Civil Engineering at Aston University, Birmingham, UK. He is a Chartered Engineer with more than twenty years of experience in academics and industry who lectures and leads research in asphalt material science, pavement engineering and infrastructure asset management. His research is both fundamental and focused on solving industry-relevant problems, aspiring to bridge the gap between theory and practice. He is the author/co-author of over 100 highly regarded international journal and conference articles and has also written over 100 design and consultancy reports for government departments and private organisations.
